Design Engineer
Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company (Pac Sci EMC), a Ralliant Corporation operating company, seeks a Design Engineer to support technical input for proposals, including Technical Volume, data deliverable definitions, engineering basis of estimates, and other support to Program Management, Applications Engineering, and Business Development.
Responsibilities- Actively participate in Sale Order Kick-Off (SOKO) meetings and review proposed vs. contracted product design engineering requirements.
- Close requirement gaps identified at SOKO meetings in accordance with proposed product and contract definition.
- Provide support and updates to product baseline records, including generation and maintenance of technical design data and documentation, performance tailoring, non‑conforming material disposition, and engagement with Integrated Product Team to resolve manufacturing, inspection, testing, and failure investigation issues.
- Provide feedback for Sales Order Close Out (SOCO) meetings.
- Document technical lessons learned throughout the contract lifecycle and incorporate them into future contracts.
- Serve as technical point of contact for engineering‑related efforts across design, documentation, manufacturing, and test support.
- Resolve qualification/production launch transition issues for new products.
- Participate in problem‑solving teams for anomalies during production, testing, customer complaints, or field returns.
- Support cost reduction projects such as Production Preparation Process (3P) and Value Analysis/Value.
- Lead and manage Engineering (VA/VE) projects.
- Provide support for continuous improvement activities.
- Working knowledge of DOE, DFMA, FMEA, Failure Analysis, or similar tools.
- Working knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T, lean practices, and related business tools.
- Working knowledge of Solid Works or similar solid modeling software.
- Skill in fundamental engineering analysis (e.g., finite element analysis, Solid Works Simulation, ANSYS).
- Experience with military and/or aerospace design and development requirements (preferred).
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of Access, Visio, and Project (plus).
- Strong verbal and written technical communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills for effective interaction with staff, customers, and suppliers.
- B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.

Pay RangeThe salary range for this position is 81,200.00 – (local currency).
