PositionSpeech Language Pathologist: you will provide speech and language therapy services and specialized support that help students improve their communication and learning skills.
Responsibilities- Identify students needing specialized speech or language services, instruction, curriculum, activities and classes and support them with solutions that enable them to thrive in a learning environment and achieve academic goals.
- Facilitate individual and/or group therapy activities using curriculum-based materials and content and provide progress reports and documentation as needed.
- Supervise support staff as needed and consult with fellow educators regarding accommodations, needs, instructional strategies, necessary equipment and support.
- Provide augmentative and alternative communication systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language disorders.
- Create a classroom and learning environment that cultivates learning, engages the interests of the students and allows them to perform at their very best.
- Utilize direct instruction techniques to guide students through activities designed to promote social, physical and intellectual growth for primary school success.
- Explore individual needs and give side-by-side support to discover how each student learns and develop personalized solutions to each student’s learning style and abilities.
- Master our proven curriculum as you implement our philosophy of education and guide the learning process toward curriculum goals.
- Encourage students to uphold our values and model mature behavior and good character in the classroom, on campus, and in daily life.
- Respond to internal and external customers in a prompt, efficient, friendly and patient manner.
- Maintain courteous relationships with students, staff, parents, and community, treating all with respect.
- Active in the role when lifting, sitting, standing, moving throughout the campus and traveling to other campuses as required. Participate in events outside of normal hours.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Master’s or higher degree in the field
- AZ: ADHS license and ADE PreK–12 SLP Certification (based on state)
- The incumbent will be required to pass a criminal history background check.
- Experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence – SLP
- Remote days must be approved by the principal in advance, are limited to non-student facing work such as report writing and compliance documentation, and must not interfere with testing, IEP meetings, or urgent student needs.

- Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
