Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Industrial Safety Coordinator to oversee and enhance safety practices across our construction and industrial operations. This role is vital in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting a proactive safety culture, and protecting the well‑being of all employees on site.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive safety programs across construction and industrial sites.
- Conduct regular safety inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
- Deliver engaging and informative safety training sessions to site employees.
- Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate documentation including incident reports, inspection records, training logs, and safety meeting minutes.
- Stay current with evolving safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Advise management on safety compliance issues and recommend proactive measures.
- Organize and lead safety meetings, emergency drills, and toolbox talks.
- Manage inventory and distribution of safety equipment and PPE.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- 1 year of experience in construction or industrial safety.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and other relevant safety regulations.
- Certification in First Aid/CPR and OSHA 30‑Hour Construction Safety.
- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field (highly valued).
- OSHA compliance & regulatory knowledge
- Risk assessment & hazard recognition
- Incident investigation & reporting
Safety training & emergency response coordination - Safety audits & industrial hygiene
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Understanding of Procore
- Bilingual in English/Spanish (preferred, not required)
- This role involves regular site visits and may require working outdoors in varied weather conditions.
- Occasional travel between project sites is expected.
- Must be able to wear PPE and navigate active construction zones.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods of time.
