Overview

St. Mary-Basha Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and energetic Kids Club Program Supervisor to oversee our Before & After School Kids Club program, as well as coordinate/oversee daily lunch and recess supervision. This role is essential to ensuring a safe, structured, and welcoming environment for students outside of regular classroom hours and during lunch periods.

Position Summary

The Kids Club Program Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of SMB’s before- and after-school program, including overseeing program activities, managing staff, supervising students, creating schedules, communicating with families, and coordinating with the Finance Department for accurate billing. This individual also supervises and supports lunch and recess operations to ensure student safety, smooth transitions, and high-quality programming throughout the day.

This position requires a person who can successfully balance many distractions and interruptions while still accomplishing objectives and meeting established deadlines. Effective resource and equipment management are essential to the role. Staff and student supervision are key components, and the Supervisor must be able to implement activities while consistently maintaining program safety.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage all daily operations of the Before & After School Kids Club program.
  • Supervise program staff, create schedules, and ensure appropriate coverage at all times.
  • Track attendance and ensure accurate documentation for Kids Club billing.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Department to resolve billing questions and ensure timely invoicing.
  • Manage equipment, supplies, and materials needed for program activities.
  • Assist in planning and implementing enrichment activities.
Daily Lunch and Recess Supervisor
  • Coordinate student supervision during lunch and recess, including management of staff and equipment, delegation of duties, and safety oversight.
  • Coordinate custodial duties necessary in the cafeteria and kitchen spaces.
  • Work directly with the school’s third-party lunch provider to ensure accurate lunch delivery, resolve issues, and support daily lunch operations.
  • Handle milk ordering and receiving, maintain accurate inventory, communicate with vendors as needed, and submit all milk and lunch-related invoices to the Finance Department for timely processing.
  • Manage the Student Lunch Volunteer Program, including recruitment and selection of student volunteers, providing training and daily supervision, tracking student service hours and logging volunteer hours into the SIS system.
General
  • Monitor student behavior and follow school discipline guidelines as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and structured environment aligned with SMB expectations.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with parents, students, and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with diocesan, school, and child safety policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the school.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience working with children in a school, camp, childcare, or youth program setting.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to multitask, supervise staff, and manage schedules effectively in a busy environment.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain:
    • Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
    • Diocese of Phoenix Safe Environment Training
    • Food Handler Certification
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Dependable, professional, and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Schedule
  • This is a full-time, 10-month position following the school calendar. Final hours will be determined, but the workday will extend until 6:00 p.m. or until the last child has been picked up.
