Job Title: Buyer III | Strategic Sourcing- MRO

Location: Chandler, AZ

Pay Rate: Up to $105k

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri | 7am-4pm

A well-established provider of specialized products and services to highly regulated industries is seeking an experienced Buyer/Strategic Sourcer to lead sourcing initiatives for Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) categories. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who combines deep sourcing expertise with strong leadership skills to mentor and support junior team members, ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational goals.

You will play a critical role in strengthening our supply chain, driving cost savings, and ensuring operational excellence. Beyond managing supplier relationships and sourcing strategies, you'll provide coaching and guidance to help the team grow and succeed.

• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior sourcing team members, offering guidance and support on day-to-day activities.
• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for MRO categories including industrial supplies, critical spares, and electrical components.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules to achieve cost-effective procurement and maintain supplier performance.
• Collaborate with sales and technical teams to identify product solutions for customer applications.
• Ensure fast turnaround on customer inquiries to support a best-in-class service experience.
• Conduct market and spend analysis to inform sourcing decisions and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and champion structured change management processes.
• Resolve supply issues quickly and efficiently to maintain operational continuity.
• Build strong supplier relationships and stay current with industry trends and innovations.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field, or 6+ years of progressive sourcing/purchasing experience.
• Proven experience mentoring or guiding team members in a sourcing or procurement environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret cost, quality, and inventory data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP ERP experience highly desirable.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to absorb technical product information and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with industrial supplies, MRO parts, critical spares, and electrical components.
