General SummaryDraft, negotiate and execute complex, high impact supplier agreements in collaboration with Legal, Engineering, Sourcing, Finance and other cross‑functional areas. Focus areas include electronic design automation tools/services (EDA), software licensing, licensing of foundry IP, IoT, production devices and service agreements. Collaborate with sourcing, engineering, and legal to develop contract strategies to protect Qualcomm business, IP, and leadership positions, and to gain early access to tools, advanced materials, and technologies.
Research, analyze, and present contractual positions (e.g., warranty, liability, confidentiality) in collaboration with Finance, Legal, Engineering, Sourcing, and others. Focus on assessment/risk mitigation. Responsible for managing contractual results, through negotiation or other means. Lead and manage contract management systems and related business processes in accordance with business unit requirements and SOX compliance. Drive contract process improvements to support and reduce cycle time and limit non‑value added costs.
Must be willing to relocate to San Diego OR work in a Qualcomm office in a nearby market, 5 days a week.
Preferred Qualifications- Collaborate and direct activities of sourcing team members on specific contract projects and act as a focal point for internal customers including foundry, SAT, organic substrate manufacturer, etc. for QCT buy‑side businesses, exploration and engagement.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in semiconductor and/or consumer electronics industry with experience managing business and contractual arrangements for development and production.
- Prior experience interacting and cooperating with various cross‑functional team members, including Legal, Sourcing, Finance, Engineering, Program Management, and Supply Chain Management.
- Track record of managing risk in coordination with cross‑functional teams and proven experience in negotiation and contracting strategies.
- Required:
Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Procurement, Law, Supply Chain, Contract Management/Master of Legal Studies, or other relevant degree.
- Bachelor's degree in Communication, Business, Political Science, or related field.
- 6+ years of Contract Administration experience or related work experience.
- Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Salary is only one component of total compensation also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants.
