Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our team for Summer 2026
. This internship offers hands‑on experience in accounting and finance while working alongside experienced professionals. The intern will support day‑to‑day accounting activities, financial reporting, and other related duties that provide meaningful exposure to a professional corporate environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a student to build foundational skills and gain practical experience in accounting and finance.
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including journal entries, invoices, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Help process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including verifying and entering invoices and payments.
- Support month‑end and quarter‑end close processes by reconciling accounts and preparing required reports.
- Perform data entry and maintain financial databases and spreadsheets as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal stakeholders.
- Conduct basic research and analysis to support accounting and finance projects.
- Support tax filing preparation and other regulatory compliance activities, as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable accounting standards.
- Assist with other administrative and accounting‑related tasks as assigned.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; interest in pursuing a CPA license is preferred.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP knowledge is a plus).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite applications (experience with accounting software such as Oracle or SAP is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and take on new challenges.
