Overview
Are you a detail-oriented payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced, teamwork-oriented environment? Egan Company is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team in Champlin, MN
. In this role, you'll be responsible for processing full-cycle weekly union payroll and reporting for various Egan business groups. This is a flexible, hybrid position allowing you to work a blend of in the office and at home.
- Process weekly union payroll
- Prepare monthly union benefit reporting
- Weekly certified payroll reporting
- Monthly utilization reporting
- Prevailing wage reporting and compliance
- Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers
- Conduct the payroll portion of new field leader orientations
- Employee setup
- All other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year college degree in Accounting is preferred
- 2-5 years experience in a related industry (Construction or Manufacturing) is required
- 3-5 years experience with in-house, full cycle, multi-state payroll is required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, is preferred
- Experience working in a paperless environment
- Previous certified payroll experience
- Proficiency in the use of standard office computer programs such as Google Suite, Word, and Excel
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently with little direction, as well as being comfortable in a team-oriented environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to prioritize/organize daily workload
- Exposure to process improvement ideas in an accounting setting is highly desired

Pay Range: $30.28-$35.10 per hour (subject to such factors as experience, education, and/or skill set) plus potential annual discretionary bonus.
