Licensed Practical Nurse III or Public Health Nurse IIThe Champaign-Urbana Public Health District (CUPHD) seeks a full-time (40‑hour week)
Licensed Practical Nurse III or Public Health Nurse II for the Teen and Adult Services division.
- Responsible for evaluating and coordinating health services for individuals and/or aggregate groups in various socio‑economic conditions in the clinic, clients' home, or other community settings.
- Monitors medication inventory using the district electronic medical records.
- Services provided by the Licensed Practical Nurse or Public Health Nurse include STI/HIV/TB testing and management, Family Planning, Hepatitis, and vaccine distribution.
- This is an in‑person position.
- Other assignments given as needed to support the Teen and Adult Services team.
- Graduation from a recognized program in practical nursing
- A current and active license for practical nursing in the State of Illinois
The expected annual starting salary is $47,170. Full annual salary range for Class 5 Licensed Practical Nurse III is $47,170 – $63,679 for a 40‑hour week.
Requirements for Public Health Nurse II- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and one (1) year work experience in nursing or closely related field
- OR
- Associate’s degree or diploma nursing and two (2) years work experience in nursing, one (1) of which is in community health or a closely related field
- A current and active RN license in the State of Illinois
The expected annual starting salary is $58,405. Full annual salary range for Class 7 Public Health Nurse II is $58,405 – $78,847 for a 40‑hour week.
