Machine Operator

Plastipak in Champaign is growing & hiring. We manufacture packaging for products you use every day. Our facility is extremely clean, safe & climate-controlled. Joining us as a Machine Operator is a great way to get started with Plastipak.

Shift:
Nights 6:45pm – 7:15 am

• Standard rotating schedule of 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off
• Includes 2 long-weekends every month
• Full time schedules are 15 working days a month

Pay:
Earn $19.50 per hour

• $18.50 per hour
• Plus $1.00 more for night shift differential

• Safely operate machines & equipment.
• Pull products with defects.
• Pack products for distribution.
• Keep equipment clean.
• Learn new skills through ongoing training.

• Mechanical ability. You like working with your hands, fixing things, etc.
• Dependability & pride in a job well-done.
• Ability to use basic hand tools, such as wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, etc.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation.
