• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policies.
• Support other Pharmacy Department duties as per company policies.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• If PTCB or ExCPT certified, coach pharmacy technicians and cashiers in the use of pharmacy systems and cash registers.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engage customers and patients, greet them, offer assistance with products and services, and resolve customer issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Cooperate with Pharmacy Manager and staff pharmacists for inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals.
• Perform clerical duties such as processing and submitting manual claims for third‑party prescription services.
• Assist with administrative tasks and maintain accurate records of sales and cash handling on the assigned cash register.
• Provide support in clinical services, including collection and labeling of samples, and coordinate services with Walgreens healthcare clinics and external providers.
• Assist in community outreach to expand pharmacy services.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and orderly pharmacy department.
• Report prescription errors promptly and adhere to company policies and the Quality Improvement Program.
• Adhere to Walgreens Good Faith Dispensing policy during prescription dispensing.
• Maintain respectful relationships with coworkers and comply with all company policies.
• Complete special assignments as directed.

• Earn and maintain PTCB or ExCPT certification through the designated training program; obtain certification as a condition for promotion.
• Attend required training, complete PPLs, and acquire continuing education credits to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy.

• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking in English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• At least six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Strong math skills for accurate prescription filling (counting, measuring, weighing).
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification.

The actual compensation that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills, and experience. This role will remain open until filled.

Salary Range: $16.5 - $20 per hour.
