Engineering CAD/Revit Technician

This in‑person opportunity is based in our Champaign, IL office. The Technician will work closely with engineers to develop, detail, and finalize a variety of construction drawings.

• Create and prepare construction drawings using CAD/Revit software.
• Design and document power distribution systems, including medium‑voltage distribution and multi‑generator set systems.
• Develop system designs for emergency power and mission‑critical applications.
• Observe projects onsite to verify correct installation and capture field data.
• Apply both field and office technical activities to support project teams.
• Visit project sites to document dimensions and conditions for accurate drawing creation.
• Prepare calculations, summary sheets, and other data manipulation for project review.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of building codes and industry standards.
• Collaborate in a team environment and learn from staff engineers, project engineers, and project managers.
• Communicate effectively and exhibit strong analytical and organizational skills.

• Associate degree in construction technology, industrial technology, engineering technology, architecture technology, or CAD drafting from a technical or community college.
• Minimum 2 years of industry experience in electrical design of commercial buildings preferred.
• Strong BIM modeling experience with plumbing and/or mechanical design preferred and a willingness to learn electrical design.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of infrastructure building systems and process systems.
• Experience with project site visit documentation and construction drawing creation.

Salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $40,000 to $60,000. Benefits include paid holidays, PTO, health insurance, disability and life insurance, dental and vision insurance, and a matching 401(k) program.
