Project Engineer

William Charles Construction, a Mas Tec Company, is searching for a Project Engineer in the Champaign, IL area to support our road and highway projects.

$75,000.00/yr – $85,000.00/yr

• Attend project turnover meetings and job meetings.
• Assist in generating and maintaining project schedules, cash flow, and workload.
• Support submittals, purchase orders, change orders, and subcontractor agreements.
• Ensure work complies with OSHA standards and company policies.
• Enforce the company safety program and complete all work according to project specifications.
• Assist in preparing project closing documents and maintaining project reports.
• Review construction documents, perform take-offs, and obtain pricing for materials and subcontractors, including DBE subcontractors.
• Prepare CPM schedules using estimated productions.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct pre-bid site investigations.
• Prepare QA/QC plans and submit QA/QC records in accordance with the QA/QC plans.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred. A combination of education and work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in the Construction industry, preferably with road & highway projects.

• Experience with Procore, Build2
  
  Win, and/or P6 a plus.
• Ability to read and understand contracts.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills with good organization.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Authorized to work in the States now and in the future.

• Compensation $75,000-$85,000/year, commensurate with experience.
