The School and Community Experiences (SCE) at the College of Education, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, seeks a part-time Clinical Instructor to serve as direct supervisor of teacher candidates during field experiences. This part-time position will be a half-time, fifty-percent appointment responsible for supervising up to ten clinicals.
Responsibilities- Master’s degree or higher in education; or extensive previous clinical supervision experience or specialized training in high-needs content areas.
- Teacher licensure.
- Minimum of three (3) years of classroom teaching; considerable classroom teaching experience preferred.
Salary: These positions will be filled each semester based on student enrollments and supervision needs for the program. These positions are hired between zero and 80% time and will not include benefits. Part-time clinical instructors are hired to supervise at a variable rate per student for each semester worked. Variability depends upon observation vs. student teachers and grade or specialty ranging from $560 to $1,120 per student per semester.
