Welder – GE Vernova

Our Welder C‑Class position performs all welding operations, including shielded metal arc, submerged arc, plasma arc, gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, and oxygen/acetylene. It also involves brazing, soldering, torch cutting, liquid dye penetrant tests, and may assist on more complex jobs and train others.

Location:

Chamblee, GA. Full‑time onsite. Shift schedule: first shift Monday–Friday 6:00 AM–2:30 PM ET during training; then second shift Monday–Friday 4:10 PM–1:00 AM ET. Overtime available.

• Daily upkeep and maintenance of machining equipment and material handling equipment.
• Assist with steam turbine repairs, welding, machining with CNC mills, lathes, horizontal boring machines, and hand working parts.
• Assist with generator field repair and refurbishment.
• Advance to more complex tasks based on skill and development.

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
• At least 2 years of experience in welding, machining (conventional or CNC), or technical assembly.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions.

The pay for this position is $27.68 per hour.

• The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
