Experience: Eight (8) years (per duties below)

Certification: Class III Power Engineer Operating Certification

Pay: $38.00/hour plus fringe benefit of $11.60/hour ($8.60 H&W/$3.00 401(k) contribution)

Hours: 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday)

* Shift Differential: 4% (2nd shift) or 6% (3rd Shift) differential pay only if the majority of hours worked fall within the shift differential window

As a Lead Stationary Engineer you will possess eight (8) years of recent responsible experience operating and maintaining building equipment and mechanical/electrical systems that support large buildings. You will be capable of advanced troubleshooting, providing solutions, distributing work to other Stationary Engineers, setting shift schedules, and overseeing subcontractors.

The Stationary Engineer operates and maintains systems providing heat, air conditioning, refrigeration, steam, high‑temperature water, or electricity.

Responsibilities include:

observing and interpreting readings on gauges, meters, and charts; adjusting controls to ensure safe, efficient operation; logging system operation; keeping engines, machinery, and equipment in good working order; performing routine chiller maintenance on York centrifugal chillers; using proper maintenance schedules; communicating maintenance requirements such as punching tubes, oil sampling, refrigerant recovery, and more; and maintaining cooling towers and water treatment. You must have strong knowledge of boiler fundamentals, cycles, controls, refrigeration and lubrication cycles, diagnostic analysis, and troubleshooting using operating log data.

Ability to climb and work at heights; walk and stand for extended periods; lift, bend, push, and move objects up to 75 pounds; interpret and work from plans, diagrams, blueprints, shop drawings, sketches, and specifications; operate specialized machinery, equipment, and tools for repair and maintenance of power plant equipment.

• Employees must meet federal credentialing process requirements to access the facility, including obtaining a PIV card and meeting ongoing training and access requirements.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• No relocation assistance is available.
