Job Overview
Join Target as a Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) and help families discover the joy of everyday life. As a Guest Advocate, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming experience for guests, resolving their concerns, and promoting Target's products and services.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and helping solve their specific needs
- Make the guest aware of current promos, store activities, and events
- Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store, and specific to your area, to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience
- Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy
- Understand and show guests how to use the features and offerings within the Target App including Wallet
- Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering, and know how to direct the guest to enroll, activate, and use these features
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area by gathering unpurchased items, baskets, and hangers for removal
- Stock supplies during store open hours while being available for the guest
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
- Communicating effectively, including using positive language and being attentive to guests' needs
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
- Attention to detail while prioritizing tasks
- Willing to educate guests and engage around products and services
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
- Work both independently and with a team
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established time frames
