Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

The Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations and ensuring the integrity of the company’s financial reporting. This individual will lead the monthly close process, maintain strong internal controls, and build scalable accounting infrastructure to support growth. The Controller partners closely with the CFO and executive team to provide accurate financial information, improve processes, and support strategic decision‑making.

This role requires a hands‑on leader who can operate both strategically and tactically in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

• Lead and own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of GAAP‑compliant financial statements
• Prepare and review account reconciliations and variance analyses
• Manage consolidations (including multi‑entity or multi‑subsidiary structures if applicable)
• Oversee external audit process and serve as primary liaison with auditors

• Oversee general ledger, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition and cost accounting (as applicable)
• Maintain chart of accounts and accounting policies
• Evaluate and improve accounting systems and workflows

• Design, implement, and monitor internal controls
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies
• Support SOX readiness or compliance (if applicable)
• Manage relationships with external tax advisors and ensure timely filings
• Hire, develop, and mentor accounting team members
• Establish clear roles, performance metrics, and development plans
• Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA preferred
• Public Accounting experience preferred
• Strong technical GAAP knowledge
• Experience leading monthly close in a multi‑entity or complex environment
• Proven experience managing and developing accounting teams
