Accounts Payable Supervisor​/Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to oversee and optimize the accounts payable operations for our organization. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills to ensure efficient invoice processing, payment workflows, and compliance with financial regulations. The position is based in Cerritos, California, and offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team within the waste management industry.

Responsibilities:

- Supervise the accounts payable team to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.

- Oversee invoice coding and approval processes to maintain compliance with company policies.

- Manage regular check runs and Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment procedures.

- Implement and maintain efficient workflows for invoice processing and payment approvals.

- Monitor accounts payable metrics and generate reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

- Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth financial operations.

- Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in accounts payable practices.

- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards.

- Review and approve payment batches, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.

- Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce operational costs. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable management or supervision.

- Expertise in coding invoices and managing payment workflows.

- Proficiency in handling check runs and ACH payment processes.

- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and tax compliance.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills.

- Ability to analyze and improve accounts payable processes.

- Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools.

- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
