Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Customs Broker to join their team in Cerritos, California. As a vital member of our operations, you will be responsible for navigating the complexities of U.S. Customs regulations, ensuring accurate and timely clearance of shipments, and maintaining the highest standards of compliance.

Location :
Fully Onsite in Cerritos, CA

Salary : up to 100k DOE + Benefits

What You'll Do:

  • Manage and execute the full customs brokerage process, ensuring compliance with all U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations.
  • Accurately classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS).
  • Determine country of origin and valuation for imported merchandise.
  • Prepare and submit customs entries and related documentation through the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE).
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of Importer Security Filings (ISF).
  • Handle post-entry adjustments, protests, and other customs-related issues.
  • Maintain thorough and organized documentation for all customs transactions.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in CBP regulations and trade compliance policies, particularly those related to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS).
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and CBP officials to resolve clearance issues.

What You Bring:

  • Valid U.S. Customs Broker License (LCB)
    required .
  • 5+ years of experience actively using a valid U.S. Customs Broker License (LCB) on behalf of a company or organization.
  • 2+ years of experience using Cargo Wise in a professional setting.
  • Proven experience managing all aspects of customs compliance independently, demonstrating self-sufficiency in navigating complex regulations and taking full ownership of import/export entries and issue resolution from start to finish.
