Financial Data Integration Specialist MMH

Role Purpose

The Financial Data Integration Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate External Asset Manager (EAM) Holdings and Instrument Static data within the organization's systems. This role involves liaising with financial institutions to obtain monthly statements of clients' investment holdings and ensuring their seamless integration into the external holdings landing table of our data lake.

• Degree in Finance, Data Science, Data Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in financial data integration, data management, Fund Accounting or a related role.
• Experience in fund accounting is highly desirable.
• Experience with data integration tools and software.
• Familiarity with ASISA Holdings and Instrument formats.
• Proven experience with data lakes and data manipulation techniques.
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, or other relevant programming languages advantageous.

• Establish and maintain relationships with financial institutions to obtain monthly statements of clients' investment holdings.
• Ensure timely retrieval of investment holdings statements from financial institutions and verify the accuracy and completeness of the data.
• Reformulate investment holdings statements into the standardized ASISA Holdings and Instrument format suitable for integration into the organization's data lake.
• Import formatted Association for Savings and Investment South Africa (ASISA) investment holdings and Instrument data into the external holdings landing table of the data lake, ensuring compatibility and integrity.
• Conduct thorough quality checks on integrated data to identify and rectify any discrepancies or errors.
• Maintain detailed documentation of data integration processes, including source data specifications, formatting guidelines, and integration procedures.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as data analysts, Investment compliance team, Implementation specialists, and data clients to ensure smooth data integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in data integration and implement improvements to the business processes supporting the above to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
