Job Duties:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicle electrical and electronic systems
• Fault-find wiring, circuits, sensors, control units, and CAN bus systems
• Install, repair, and test starters, alternators, batteries, and lighting systems
• Diagnose and repair engine management systems, ABS, airbags, and immobilisers
• Use diagnostic tools and scan equipment to identify electrical faults
• Repair wiring looms and replace damaged cables, connectors, and fuses
• Install accessories such as alarms, tracking systems, radios, and cameras
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
• Conduct electrical inspections and preventative maintenance
• Ensure all work meets safety, manufacturer, and quality standards
• Complete job cards and technical reports accurately

Requirements /

Qualifications:

• Trade qualification as an Auto Electrician (Red Seal / Trade Test preferred)
• Matric - preferred
• 3–5+ years’ experience as an Auto Electrician (light, heavy, or both)
• Experience with trucks, buses, or plant equipment (advantage)
• Valid driver’s licence
• Ability to work independently and diagnose complex faults
• OEM experience an advantage
• Willingness to work overtime or on standby (where required)
