The suitable candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include, but not limited to, the following:
- Render a comprehensive pro-active security service;
- Liaise with client, Regional Clients and handle all internal and External Security queries;
- Ensure client satisfaction and retention;
- Sustain growth and profitability;
- Increase and sustain the performance and productivity of all staff;
Sub-Contractor and Sub Divisions; - Planning and management;
- To deliver effective team management;
- Financial management;
- Personnel management;
- Carrying out dynamic security and safety risk assessment;
- Maintaining effective relationships with client staff, management and contractor and service providers;
- Providing reports and recommending process improvements;
- Acting as a focal point for security operations decision making during routine and emergency situations;
- Adhering to compliance standards and relevant laws;
- Alignment and liaison with all security service provider;
- Alignment and to ensure allocation of all responsible sites are kept up to date and site lists spread sheet;
- Ensure compliance with the Company’s disciplinary code;
- Ensure that all company SOP’s are followed;
- Ensure training takes place as and when required;
- After hour visits and willing to work long hours;
- Any other duties deemed relevant to the role;
- Grade 12 Certificate;
- PSIRA Registered with a Grade A certificate;
- Firearm Competency for Business purposes for Handgun, Shotgun and Rifle;
- Maximum of 5 years’ experience in the Security Industry and background in ex Security forces;
- Clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record;
- Sound Communication Skill (Verbal and Written);
- Bilingual (English and any other South African language);
- Own reliable Transport for after hour & weekend visits to Site;
- Skills levels 1-3
- Computer literate (MS Office);
- The Area Manager coordinates the provision of contractual and ad hoc security services tothe Client, in compliance with legislation, Client policies and procedures, to ensure SLA and KPI’s are met;
- Assist the Operations team to ensure daily tasks and targets are met;
- Strong interaction capabilities with the client;
- Diligent and neat in appearance;
- Able to obtain a medical fitness certification;
- All applicants will be subject to a screening;
- Ability to work under pressure and take charge;
- Managing Security Officers;
- Conducting SOP and Job Description training with the Security Personnel;
- Attending onsite Security Operations meetings with the Client;
- Compile weekly/monthly incident reports;
- Conducting Site Risk Assessment;
- Management of daily operations;
- Manage the discipline of security personnel on site;
- Managing the disciplinary process on site;
- Manage and promote Health & Safety compliance;
- Managing ad-hoc requests for security;
- Manage Contractors that enter his/her environment and ensure Client Specific Compliance;
- Manage the risks associated with the Contractors working on Site;
- Incident reporting;
- Conducting security sweeps to enforce compliance;
- Keeping the Client informed;
