Overview

A reputable automotive company is seeking a Senior Retail Manager to lead operations at their hypermarket dealership in Centurion Gauteng. The successful candidate will oversee a large team driving sales performance and ensuring exceptional customer service while maintaining operational efficiency and compliance.

• Oversee daily operations of the dealership ensuring seamless functioning across all departments.
• Lead and motivate a team of over 230 employees to achieve performance and sales targets.
• Develop and execute sales strategies, promotions and customer engagement initiatives.
• Manage stock levels, merchandising and store layout to optimize sales performance.
• Analyze sales data and KPIs to identify growth opportunities and operational improvements.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with suppliers, logistics and finance teams to enhance overall efficiency.
• Conduct training sessions, performance reviews and implement staff development programs.
• Handle customer escalations with professionalism and empathy.

• Minimum 10 years experience in retail management, preferably within a hypermarket or large-format store.
• Proven leadership experience managing large teams in a retail environment.
• Strong knowledge of retail operations, merchandising and customer service best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in retail systems, reporting tools and performance tracking.
• Matric essential; tertiary qualification in Retail Management or Business Administration advantageous.
• Ability to work under pressure, adapt quickly and deliver results in a high‑volume environment.
