Head of Automation

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute the end-to-end automation strategy, including roadmap, tool selection, and best practices across development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Design and maintain automation frameworks covering testing (web, mobile, API, performance), CI/CD, IaC, and system monitoring.
• Collaborate with QA, Dev Ops, engineering, product, and business teams to align automation with delivery goals.
• Mentor and upskill teams on automation tools, standards, and best practices.
• Drive governance and continuous improvement through standards, emerging tech evaluation, and quality metrics.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with relevant certifications (ISTQB, AWS Dev Ops, Microsoft Dev Ops) as an advantage.
• 5–10+ years’ experience in software development/QA, including 2–3 years in a leadership role with proven automation delivery at scale.
• Strong skills in automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, and Rest Assured.
• Proficiency with CI/CD and Dev Ops platforms including Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, Git Lab CI/CD, and Git Hub Actions.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation) and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Programming capability in languages like Java, Python, JavaScript/Type Script, or C#, with strong API automation skills (Postman, SoapUI, Newman, K6).
• Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes, performance and security testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, OWASP ZAP), and Microsoft automation tools (Power Automate, Power Apps).
