Financial Accountant

- Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
- Coordinate and process local payments
- Manage and reconcile petty cash
- Prepare and process monthly journals, including provisions, accruals, and tax-related entries
- Maintain and review intercompany transactions
- Prepare financial records up to trial balance
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Monitor company performance and provide financial insights
- Maintain and review the fixed asset register and depreciation
- Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements
- Ensure tax compliance, including VAT and payroll tax reconciliations
- Liaise with SARS on tax-related matters
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure operational requirements are met

Job Experience &

Skills Required:

Qualifications:

- Matric (Grade 12)
- BCom in Financial or Management Accounting
- SAIPA membership advantageous

Experience:

- Completed SAIPA articles (essential)
- Minimum1 year post-articles experience
- Knowledge ofIFRS for SMEs, income tax, and VAT

- Experience with Draftworx or Epicor advantageous
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
