Role PurposeThe Risk Operational Support role will provide operational support to the Risk function, assisting with the coordination and execution of risk management activities and due diligence processes across the business. The role will support the maintenance of risk registers, documentation management, risk reporting, and third‑party due diligence activities. This role offers an opportunity for a junior professional to gain exposure to risk management practices within a financial services environment while supporting governance, risk monitoring, and operational risk activities.
Requirements- Relevant diploma or degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, Law, or related field.
- 0–2 years’ experience in a risk, governance, or compliance environment would be advantageous.
- Exposure to financial services, insurance, or investment environments would be beneficial but not essential.
- Provide operational support to the Risk function across key risk management processes.
- Assist in maintaining and updating risk registers and related documentation.
- Support the coordination and tracking of risk assessments across business units.
- Ensure risk documentation is appropriately recorded, structured, and maintained.
- Support the maintenance of structured records to enable internal governance and audit requirements.
- Coordinate and track Due Diligence (DD) processes for vendors, partners, and investment‑related counter parties.
- Monitor the completion of DD questionnaires and ensure supporting documentation is submitted and appropriately recorded.
- Follow up with internal stakeholders and external parties to resolve outstanding information requests or risk‑related queries.
- Maintain structured Due Diligence trackers and ensure documentation is organised and audit‑ready.
- Perform initial reviews of submitted DD documentation to identify information gaps or potential risks and elevate concerns to the Risk Manager where appropriate.
- Assist with any Due Diligence system implementation requirements as and when required.
- Assist in the preparation of risk reports, dashboards, and management packs.
- Track risk mitigation actions and follow up on outstanding items.
- Support monitoring activities relating to operational risk and third‑party risk management.
- Assist with preparation of materials for risk and governance forums.
- Support coordination of meeting logistics and documentation for risk‑related meetings where required.
- Maintain records of policies, frameworks, and governance documentation.
- Liaise with business teams to obtain information required for risk reviews and due diligence processes.
- Support collaboration between Risk and other enablement functions such as Legal, Compliance, IT, and Finance.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work with confidential information responsibly.
