Finance Controller - Mining

This progressive and innovative company focus on metals recovery and processing and owns and operates metals processing facilities both in South Africa and internationally. Our client has received acclaim for its development of innovative processing solutions in both the pyro-metallurgical and hydrometallurgical fields specifically targeting the recovery of metals lost through conventional processing techniques.

• Position: Financial Controller (DU)
• CTC Package: TBD
• Job Type: Permanent
• Location: On-Site in Centurion
• Direct Report: Head of Finance
• Industry: Mining/Metals

• B.COM Honours Accounting or Financial Management CA(SA) preferable).
• Minimum of 5 Years’ experience; preferably in a Mining or Manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in applying commercial and legal principles in the execution of commercial contracts.
• Knowledge of Financial and Accounting Software - Sage will be advantageous.
• Practical knowledge of IFRS, Vat and Income Tax Act.
• High Level of Competence in MS Office (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)

• Compile, analyse and verify management accounts and reporting.
• Process and coordinating the Group Accounts payable and Account Receivable function.
• Managing and coordinating of the Revenue cycle.
• Process and coordinate the procurement of Raw Materials cycle.
• Compile weekly and monthly cashflow and forecasting reports.
• Annual budgets
• Improve and maintain all Finance policies, processes, procedures, and internal controls.
• Improve and maintain systems supporting the financial function and Business Units.
• Co-ordinate Internal Audit Reviews and monitor findings and ensure resolutions thereof.
• Ensure corporate governance and statutory compliance.
• Ensure compliance to all Mine Health and Safety Act regulations
