Financial Accountant

Our client is seeking a hands‑on and detail‑oriented Financial Accountant to join their team. Exposure to a mining or processing environment would be advantageous, but is not essential.
Completed BCom degree and completed SAIPA articles ESSENTIAL. Minimum of 2 to 5 years post articles / commercial experience ESSENTIAL.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with IFRS
• Prepare monthly management accounts
• Manage invoicing and perform reconciliations
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable
• Cash flow reporting
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE and other statutory returns
• Support year‑end audit processes and liaise with external auditors
• Ensure effective internal controls and risk management procedures
• Monitor intercompany transactions and ensure accurate reporting
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management
• Assist with costings for proposals
• Provide general office administration support
• Maintain neat and accurate electronic filing systems

• BCom Degree in Accounting or related field
• Completed SAIPA articles
• 2–5 years’ commercial experience
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS
• Proficient in MS Office (advanced Excel advantageous)
