Accountant, Financial Reporting, Tax Accountant

Etion Create is an Original Design Manufacturer that specialises in the design, manufacture, integration and support of advanced technology systems. We are seeking to employ an Accountant in our Finance Division.

• Preparing and posting of monthly GL journals
• Close and prepare month-end files including various balance sheet reconciliations
• General ledger, cash- books and statements, as required
• Reconciliation of bank statements
• Prepare customer invoices, account statements, reports and other records and reviews for accuracy
• Assist with annual statutory audit process
• Monthly VAT reconciliation
• Complete and submit monthly VAT returns, attend to any audit requires from SARS
• Timely completion, submission and payment of VAT 201 returns
• Completion and submission of ad hoc Advanced Payment Notifications (APN) on e-filing.
• Complete and submit any other required ad hoc statutory returns
• Keep up to date with changes to/new legislation ito Companies Act, VAT Act.

• Checking credit applications and references
• Liaising with banks when required
• Drive insurance claims with insurers
• Assist with budget monitoring
• Monitor financial details to ensure that legal requirements are met
• Assisting with weekly supplier payment process as required
• Set credit rating criteria and monitor the collection of past due accounts.

• BCom Accounting degree or diploma in accounting will be advantageous.

• 5 years or more relevant work experience

• Analysis of data and statistical interpretation skills
• Computer literacy – solid proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Jira/Confluence;
  
  Cash Analytics; SAP/SAGE usage an advantage
