Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks an enthusiastic student for an Electrical & Application Engineering Intern positions in our Centurion office. The ideal candidate must be a based in South Africa for this position. Applicants who recently graduated or pursuing final year in electrical, power systems or power engineering field is preferred only!
** As an Application Engineering Intern, a typical day might include the following:
*** Provide support for communication/automation/protection test beds.
* Perform testing on existing and new technology.
* Support Sales and Customer Service and product development activities related to communication/automation/protection.
* Support applications engineers to develop best practice application guides for SEL technology that provide secure and compliant solutions.
* Continuously identify, measure, and improve processes.
** This job might be for you if:
*** You are a fresh graduate or current final year student pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical/Power Engineering.
* You have the ability to work full time.
* You have an interest in electrical power systems, protection and control.
* You have practical knowledge of 3-phase power systems
* Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
* Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
