What You'll Take Ownership Of

Your role spans strategic studies, operational improvement, design, scheduling and client advisory work:

Technical Excellence

• End-to-end mine planning (STP, MTP, LOM)
• Scoping, PFS & BFS mining studies
• Pit/stope optimisation, mine design & scheduling
• Block modelling, re-blocking & geological integration
• Equipment selection, fleet optimisation & cost modelling
• Inputs for financial modelling and investment decisions
• Due diligence, audits, mining rights & prospecting applications

Operational & Advisory Exposure

• On-site support, contractor management & readiness planning
• Productivity and equipment usage improvement
• Trade-off analysis and scenario modelling
• Leading multidisciplinary projects and facilitating workshops
• Developing methodologies, toolkits and service offerings

Leadership & Growth

• Mentoring junior engineers and planners
• Representing the business professionally with clients
• Taking ownership of deliverables, outcomes and innovation

This is a role for someone who enjoys thinking at both 30,000 ft and 3 ft off the ground.

Requirements

• BEng Mining Engineering
• 5–15 years relevant mining experience
• Consulting exposure ideal
• Strong proficiency in mine planning software (Deswik, Surpac, MineRP, etc.)
• Comfort navigating both study environments and operational sites
• A mindset built on initiative, structure, accountability and commercial awareness
• The ability to communicate complex technical work clearly and confidently
• A natural inclination to challenge assumptions and improve systems
