Are you a Mechanical Engineer with solid Fire Engineering experience looking to elevate your consulting career? Do you enjoy solving complex building-services challenges and working closely with clients? My client—part of a respected, multi-disciplinary group in the built environment—is looking for a driven engineer who can contribute immediately to Fire, HVAC, and Wet Services projects.

My client forms part of a prominent group known for delivering integrated solutions across planning, design, construction, maintenance, infrastructure, property development, environmental services and more.

You will take responsibility for end-to-end mechanical building-services engineering, including:

• Fire Protection, Detection & Suppression system design
• Assisting with Rational Fire Design reports
• System selection, calculations and compliance with standards

• HVAC design (concept through detailed design)
• Heat load calculations, equipment selection and system proposals
• Ducting design, reticulation layouts and relevant standards compliance

• Hydraulic calculations
• Water reticulation system design

• Client needs analysis and site surveys
• Status-quo reporting and maintenance assessments
• Engineering reports for all project phases
• Tender documentation, BOQs, specifications and budgets
• Coordination with other engineering disciplines
• Construction monitoring and site inspections
• Managing project timelines and deliverables
• Direct client interaction and technical advisory

• BEng/BSc Mechanical Engineering
• 1–5 years’ experience in a built-environment consulting role
• Fire Engineering experience is essential (not optional)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit
• Valid driver’s licence
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with clients and professional teams
