The Junior Product Manager supports the commercial product function by gathering inputs, compiling pricing packages for new development and configuration opportunities, maintaining accurate product data, and ensuring Sales receives timely and accurate product information. This role bridges Sales, Product, and Engineering, enabling fast, reliable responses to customer requests while supporting product lifecycle discipline.ANNEXURE A: JOB PROFILE

2. REQUIREMENTS EducationWork Experience
Minimum: 1-5 Years
Nature of Applicable ExperienceNo prior product management experience is required, but candidates should demonstrate:
- Exposure to an engineering discipline (RF, electronics, mechanical, systems, test, or similar)
- Commercial inclination — interest in pricing, costing, customer requirements, or the business side of engineering
- Curiosity about markets, customer applications, and how products create value
- Comfort working cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Product
- A disciplined and structured approach to documentation, detail, and data accuracy

Other CharacteristicsBasic understanding of engineering principles (RF, electronics, systems, or mechanical is advantageous)
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, datasheets, specifications, and design documentation at a high level
Comfort collaborating with engineers and asking clarifying questions and challenging ideas and proposals
Strong numerical and analytical ability for pricing, cost modelling, and comparisons
Ability to structure information logically (tables, breakdowns, assumptions)
Willingness to learn commercial principles (margin, cost structure, product positioning)
Comfortable preparing structured documents, summaries, and pricing packs
Able to communicate technical inputs in a business-friendly form
High attention to detail for documentation, product data, and internal coordination
3. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS, WEIGHTS AND TASKSGather cost, technical, and effort inputs from Product Owners, Chief Engineers, and Technical Leads
Compile pricing models for:
- New development
- Variant/feature changes
- Application-specific configurations
Record and maintain pricing assumptions, engineering estimates, and commercial conditions
Prepare structured pricing packs
Lead and defend pricing proposals in opportunity forums
Sales Request Handling & Coordination — 30%Act as first point of contact for Sales queries on configurations, product data, and documentation
Validate incoming customer requirements and route technical queries appropriately
Maintain request logs and ensure timely turnaround for internal stakeholders
Product Data & Documentation Accuracy — 15%Keep product specifications, variant tables, datasheets, and pricing accurate and current
Ensure alignment across ERP/PLM and customer-facing material
Support version control and document update processes
Track quoting frequency, margins, and recurring opportunity patterns
Collect and structure feedback from Sales and customers for management review
Support early lifecycle tasks such as status updates, changes in product configurations, or known-issue tracking
Market & Competitive Input — 10%Assist with competitive product comparisons and pricing benchmarks
Produce structured summaries for strategic review
Contribute to roadmap developments
