Contract Specialist

Join Exxaro Resources as a Contract Specialist in Centurion, Gauteng, where you will lead end-to-end lifecycle management for a diverse range of contracts. In this permanent role, you will optimise contract usage, identify cost-saving opportunities, and reduce contract establishment times. • Bachelor's Degree (Essential/Minimum)
• Certificate in First Line Management (Essential/Minimum)
• 3-5 years of relevant supply chain experience, including procurement and contract management (Essential/Minimum)
• Proficiency in MS Office and various databases and contract management systems (Essential/Minimum)
• Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning and/or cloud-based procurement solutions such as SAP or Coupa
• Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
• Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
• Competence in using MS Office Relevant Package (Essential/Minimum)

• Oversee the complete contract life cycle, from negotiation through execution, ensuring prompt and effective administration.
• Collaborate with internal teams to formulate sourcing strategies aligned with organizational governance and compliance mandates.
• Drive process improvements and implement system enhancements to elevate contract management efficiency and achieve cost reductions.
• Ensure regulatory and governance standard adherence, including compliance monitoring related to the Mining Charter and B-BBEE regulations.
• Facilitate resolution of contractual issues and manage supplier relationships by developing and maintaining robust Service Level Agreements.
• Lead the creation and oversight of RFQ, RFP, and RFI documents, working closely with both technical and commercial experts.
• Secure and maintain contractual documentation in alignment with corporate policies and retention standards.
• Foster key supplier partnerships, aiming for process efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities via market evaluations and product alternatives.
• Offer strategic advice on contract rights, obligations, and methodologies to optimize organizational benefit.
• Engage in supplier development initiatives and participate actively in strategic procurement planning.
