The Business Development Manager Sub-Saharan Africa & APAC Region leads the strategic development and execution of the regional sales strategy, driving business growth across SSA and APAC markets while aligning with global objectives. This role requires cultivating strong client relationships, identifying new opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and building a motivated, high-performing sales team. The position is instrumental in expanding the company's profile in the healthcare and logistics sectors and driving innovative solutions tailored to the regional market.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement a regional sales strategy aligned with the company’s global objectives, focusing on generating new business opportunities, expanding existing client relationships, and driving cross-selling initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, distributors, and partners to foster loyalty and collaboration.
  • Identify and develop new markets and customer streams, ensuring sustainable growth within the region.
  • Evaluate existing partnerships and sales efforts to improve efficiency, profitability, and alignment with regional goals.
  • Lead, inspire and develop the regional sales team to achieve monthly and annual sales targets, ensuring alignment with the company's values and culture.
  • Regularly monitor account forecasts, sales pipelines, and budgets, recommending and implementing corrective actions to meet objectives.
  • Propose and develop strategic partnerships and identify sponsorship opportunities to enhance the company’s profile and market reach.
  • Track emerging market trends and provide insights for strategic decision-making, adapting sales strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, customer service, and product development, to optimize client satisfaction and enhance service delivery.
  • Manage client relationships by ensuring swift, efficient, and professional handling of all transactions, inquiries, and complaints.
  • Conduct presentations, webinars, and promotional activities to raise the company’s profile and improve product or service visibility in the region.
  • Develop and implement clear sales contract guidelines, ensuring adherence to profit margins and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all sales activities are conducted in compliance with local and international legal and ethical standards.
  • Ensure all targets set by the company are attained.
  • Prepare regular reports and updates on sales performance, market opportunities, and strategic initiatives for senior management.
  • Daily update of CRM by inputting all contact with clients, e.g. calls, email, meetings, conferences, webinars hosted or attended, and any other related information.
  • Manage the regional sales budget, ensuring expenditures align with forecasts and addressing any variances proactively.
  • Foster an entrepreneurial and innovative growth culture within the team, encouraging continuous improvement and adaptability.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; or equivalent auditable experience.
  • Strong understanding of SSA and APAC markets, particularly in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, clinical trials, or logistics sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in business development across SSA and APAC regions, covering multiple sectors including, but not limited to, the core offerings of the Oximio product set.
  • Proven ability to identify new revenue opportunities and drive viable projects to successful completion.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
