About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their finance team in Centurion. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting processes, and ensuring compliance with statutory and corporate requirements. This role is suited to a detail-oriented professional with solid accounting experience in a corporate or engineering-related environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
• General ledger maintenance and balance sheet reconciliations
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable oversight
• Fixed asset register maintenance and depreciation calculations
• Assistance with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring
• Month-end and year-end close support
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant statutory requirements
• Liaison with external auditors and tax consultants
• Support payroll, VAT, and tax submissions where required
• Identify and implement accounting process improvements

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• BCom Accounting or equivalent tertiary qualification
• 5–10 years’ relevant accounting experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with ERP / accounting systems
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environment will be advantageous
