* Do you want to design, develop, and deliver bleeding-edge technical solutions in the national cyber security domain?

Parsons Special Programs and Systems group is hiring cleared software engineers to develop specialized software within a first-class team of developers, computer scientists, and cyber specialists. Specifically, you will have the opportunity to:

+ Intern for the summer or do a longer Co-Op

+ Participate in or lead design and code reviews

+ Create real-time/stream/batch processing software

+ Develop scalable, web-based data visualization and analytic platforms using Java, Spring, servlets, Extract Transform Load (ETL) pipelines, microservices, message brokers, and scalable databases (Hadoop, Elasticsearch, Postgre

SQL)

+ Build and deploy software using Python, Gradle, Docker, Vagrant, Ansible, Maven, Gitlab, and/or Bash.

+ Learn about new software and hardware technology platforms

* + Work in person in Centreville, VA

+ Working towards a degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related discipline

+ Java, C++, or JavaScript development skills

Qualifications:

+ Experience working in a Linux development environment

+ Knowledge of networking concepts including the OSI model

+ Dev Ops experience with Jenkins, Gitlab, Gradle, CMake, Zabbix, and/or Vagrant

+ C++ experience with Boost, TBB, and/or DPDK

+ Virtual machine and/or containerization experience with VMWare, Libvirt, Docker, and/or Podman

+ Deployment script experience with Ansible or Salt

+ Operational Linux skills with technology such as SNMP, NTP, Systemd, Cron, DNF, and/or Git.

+ Structured Query Language (SQL) experience for example with MySQL or PostgreSQL

+ No

SQL experience for example with Hadoop, Elasticsearch, or MongoDB

+ Spring Boot experience

+ Scripting experience for example with Python, Bash, or Shell

+ Front-end (full-stack) development experience with Angular and Material-UI using Type Script

Salary Range: $21.88 - $38.27
