** to join our busy practice in Central Point, Oregon.  Experienced CVT preferred but willing to train the right person!
* ** Starting Salary:** $21 – 25 per hour, depending on experience education, certifications and licensure

** Four 10-hour shifts.  Looking to fill Monday-Thursday now with potential Friday-Sunday shifts in 2026.

** Who you are:
*** Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) in Oregon
** required –*
* * or ability to obtain/transfer license within 3 months of hire
** Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred
* 3 years’ experience as a veterinary technician or assistant in a veterinary clinical setting
** preferred
* ** Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
* Passion for working with animals and their owners
* Experience with proper animal handling and restraint,
** exotic and pocket pet experience a plus!
*** Understand the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
* Obtain accurate and thorough medical histories
* Perform basic exam procedures
* Skilled in venipuncture and Intravenous (IV) catheter placement (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular)
* Able to perform digital radiology (X-ray) including positioning
* Perform complete dental procedures, including digital x-rays, scaling, polishing, charting
* Confident with general anesthesia and surgical assisting (induction, intubation, monitoring, aseptic technique, recovery)
* Perform medical math, accurately calculate, draw up and administer drugs
* Laboratory skills including microscope (ear and fecal cytology); automated in-house machines
* Excellent client communication/education
* Ability to perform Technician appointments independently, including accurate medical record documentation
