Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) ATP evaluates, recommends, and provides customized Complex Rehabilitation Technology (CRT) to meet clients
39; needs. Works closely with clients, families, therapists, and physicians to ensure the appropriate equipment is provided to maximize independence and quality of life. A strong understanding of clinical conditions and extensive knowledge of rehabilitation equipment are essential.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients
39; needs, functional limitations, and mobility goals based on therapist assessment findings and physician orders, including assessments of physical abilities, environmental factors, and lifestyle considerations. - Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (physicians, therapists - PT, OT, SLP), clients, and caregivers to develop individualized plans of care to achieve mobility goals.
- Recommend appropriate CRT equipment and associated interventions based on identified needs and mobility goals.
- Manage and facilitate procurement processes from equipment specification through delivery.
- Apply clinical, technical, and interpersonal skills in a needs analysis of complex mobility issues for individuals with various disabilities.
- Deliver and fit equipment, ensuring that functional goals established at the evaluation are met; provide training and education to clients, families, and caregivers on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Complete and maintain accurate documentation of client interactions in a timely manner.
- Attain and/or exceed annual sales goals and objectives as established at the beginning of each fiscal year; review and report on sales calls and opportunities.
- Maintain all certifications and licenses, obtain required continuing education annually to avoid lapse in coverage; maintain eligibility with vendor systems as required.
- Keep abreast of funding requirements and Numotion contracts, and stay informed about technological advances in Rehab Technology.
- Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources; uphold Numotion Leadership Principles and ensure integrity, compliance, and values in all duties.
- Adhere to confidentiality and Numotion policies and federal regulations; provide excellent customer service for internal and external customers and resolve issues as a priority.

- Bachelor
39;s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. - Valid Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) certification.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills to generate appropriate, individualized CRT recommendations.
- Working knowledge of compliant billing processes for rehab/assistive technology equipment (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid).
- Must have a valid driver
39;s license.
- Minimum one year of experience working with complex rehabilitation technology.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks independently and effectively.
- Previous experience selling DME equipment.
- Extensive knowledge of clinical conditions impacting mobility (e.g., spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, stroke).
- Comprehensive understanding of rehabilitation equipment (power and manual wheelchairs, seating systems, adaptive controls, and other devices).
- Ability to perform thorough seating/mobility, assistive technology, and rehab equipment evaluations.
