We’re building the next generation of AI products in Multifamily real‑estate. We need a backend engineer to architect reusable frameworks, services, data pipelines, and APIs that empower product teams and accelerate delivery.

Travtus is a SaaS platform that automates & enhances multidimensional real‑estate operations. Our platform uses AI to drive efficiency, staff retention & resident satisfaction through data‑led decisions.

You will build the shared platform layer underpinning our AI solution suite. Your work will include architectures, services, data pipelines and high‑volume API endpoints that serve internal and external partners.

You’ll collaborate closely with engineers to evolve the core platform, adopt best practices, and mentor peers.

• Architect, develop, and maintain shared services, frameworks, data pipelines, and APIs in Python.
• Design scalable systems for data ingestion, storage, and processing – supporting multi‑tenant needs and analytics.
• Build frameworks that streamline integration with third‑party APIs and internal microservices.
• Lead initiatives to standardise and document platform interfaces, ensuring consistency and discoverability.
• Embed security, observability, and compliance throughout all shared services.
• Collaborate with product teams to identify platform gaps and prioritise improvements.
• Drive adoption of testing, CI/CD, and monitoring best practices.
• Mentor engineers on code quality and platform usage.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic engineer with a passion for backend development, collaboration and AI.

• Extensive Python experience building backend software, APIs and reusable components.
• Experience with microservices and SOA, including event‑driven architectures.
• Hands‑on with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, S3, Cognito and more.
• Experience with API design, versioning and documentation.
• Ability to develop data platforms – pipelines, transformation and real‑time processing.
• Commitment to developer productivity through platform design and documentation.
• Experience with TDD or contract testing is a plus.
• Understanding of API security best practices.

• Knowledge of AI model integration or experimentation.
• Experience with contract testing, API security, and observability.
