Homeless Prevention Coordinator​/Homeless Prevention Officer

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has two new vacancies available for a Homeless Prevention Coordinator and a Homeless Prevention Officer on a 3 months contract with a possibility of further extension.

The officer appointed will work as part of a wider Housing Solutions Service, supporting the client to address their temporary accommodation (TA) issues and supporting families and singles to move from nightly booked TA accommodation into more suitable and longer-term accommodation.

The team will work under the direction of the existing Head of Accommodation to enable move on of clients out of this TA to alternative provision.

The post holder will provide support to the Housing Needs, Support and Safety portfolio, working collaboratively with partners and stakeholders to deliver the client’s objectives and priorities.

To undertake a range of clerical duties with direction of managers which deliver a focus and drive through all services to achieve.

• Prevention of homelessness and rough sleeping o Assessment of needs, interventions that support complex clients;
• High quality, specialised supported housing, and semi-independent provision;
• Successful moves into independent accommodation with appropriate transitionary support.
