OverviewHaringey is seeking a dedicated Locum Social Worker to join its Independence and Access team. As part of a dynamic and supportive service, you will safeguard individuals at risk, promote independence, and deliver positive outcomes within a diverse community.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver a professional social work service to adults at risk of abuse or neglect, ensuring compliance with safeguarding legislation.
- Lead and coordinate multi‑agency Section 42 safeguarding enquiries, adopting a person‑centred approach in line with the Care Act.
- Develop, implement, and review adult protection plans tailored to individual needs and aspirations.
- Collaborate with partner agencies, stakeholders, and professionals to mitigate risks and achieve positive outcomes.
- Manage a varied caseload and duty responsibilities efficiently, maintaining accurate records on social care electronic systems.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and partner agencies to ensure coordinated safeguarding responses.
- Participate in professional supervision and continuous learning to maintain and enhance practice standards.
