Flat Entrance Door Carpenter – Fire Team

Location: London & Surrounding Areas (Field Based)
Salary: £39,706.50 per annum
Contract: 2x Permanent & 3x 12-Month FTC
Hours: 40 hours per week (8am–5pm, Monday–Friday)

We are recruiting experienced Flat Entrance Door Carpenters to join the Fire Team atone of the UK’s largest housing associations.

Following the Fire Safety Regulations 2022, annual fire door inspections are now a legal requirement in residential buildings over 11 metres. This is a vital compliance role focused on protecting residents and ensuring fire safety standards are maintained across London and surrounding areas.

If you have strong experience hanging fire doors and working within social housing or maintenance environments, this is a secure and rewarding opportunity.

Reporting to the Fire Safety Supervisor, you will:

• Carry out fire door inspections and maintenance
• Evaluate fire doors for correct installation and compliance
• Complete minor repairs and frame adjustments
• Undertake fire door set installations and second fix carpentry
• Record findings accurately using a PDA
• Deliver works to high safety and quality standards
• Work across all London regions and outskirts

This is a mobile role – you will start and finish from home using a company vehicle.

• Proven experience hanging fire doors and fire door sets
• Strong second fix carpentry skills
• Experience in fire door maintenance and compliance works
• Knowledge of building/maintenance environments
• Good understanding of job-related Health & Safety
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence (essential)

• £39,706.50 annual salary
