Mobile Electrical Engineer

Overview

Electrical Maintenance Engineer required to carry out PPM and Reactive activities across commercial premises. Ideally located inside the M25. Commercial experience preferred. The role includes some installation work; core focus is maintenance.

• Carry out reactive maintenance repairs across various contracts.
• Assess and order parts and equipment necessary for tasks.
• Work to recognised industry standards at all times.
• Participate in flexible working hours and out-of-hours emergency cover as required by the contract.
• Undertake training as required (health and safety courses and continued professional development).
• Assist other trades as/when required.
• Undertake other duties as directed by Managers within the remit of the role.
• Update/close completed Reactive & PPM tasks on the CAFM system.
• Maintain engineering standards to maximise efficient operation and reliability of plant.
• Ensure QA and site procedures are followed; comply with Client and Integral health and safety procedures.
• Inspect services, proactively deal with call outs/repairs as required and/or requested by management.
• Attend emergencies, inside and outside normal working hours.
• Keep and maintain all company issued tools in a safe and working condition.
• Carry out electrical works including fault finding and repair, door entry, lighting, BMS/heating controls, basic plumbing, carpentry and fabric skills where relevant.
• Carry out PPM tasks such as emergency light testing, fire alarm testing, distribution board checks, RCBO/RCD testing, fixed wire testing, and related inspections.
• Produce detailed and accurate reports for remedial works and on-site logs for compliance.
• Complete on-site method statements and risk assessments as necessary.

• NVQ 3 Electrical Installation
• C&G Level 2 and 3 Diploma Electrical Installation
• C&G 2360 Parts 1 & 2 or 2330 Levels 2 & 3
• C&G 2391 or 2394 & 2395
• 18th edition certificate
• IPAF 3a & 3b
• Pasma
• Extensive knowledge of commercial electrical systems
• Strong electrical & mechanical maintenance experience
• Knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems
• Knowledge of building fabric and basic fabric reactive repairs
• Extensive knowledge of health & safety regulations
• Basic plumbing skills
• Able to act on own initiative; self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
• Smart appearance and presentable
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work from a smartphone and PDA
• Team-oriented with ability to follow instructions

The incumbent may need to adopt a flexible approach to working hours to suit client/public sector needs, including weekends and evenings. The role is hands-on and requires a proactive, reliable team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills due to client-facing responsibilities.

• Overtime x1.5 on weekdays and x2 on weekends; day in lieu on bank holidays
