HVM​/Automatic Gate & Barrier Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 (DOE) + Overtime + Callout Allowance

Hours:

Monday-Friday (5 days per week) + Callout Rota

We are a leading supplier and installer of automatic gates, doors, barriers, and Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM) systems, including crash-rated bollards, road blockers, and rising barriers. Due to continued growth, we're looking for a highly skilled and motivated Engineer with extensive experience in HVM and hydraulic systems to join our team.

As an HVM / Automation Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

• Installation, servicing, and maintenance of HVM systems, automatic gates, barriers, and bollards.
• Fault-finding and repairing hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Conducting site assessments and ensuring systems are compliant and operating safely.
• Working closely with our project and service teams to deliver high-quality installations.
• Participating in a callout rota.

We're looking for someone with:

• Proven experience working on HVM equipment such as crash-rated bollards, blockers, and barriers.
• Strong hydraulic systems knowledge.
• Electrical qualifications (17th/18th Edition or equivalent).
• Good understanding of gate safety standards and relevant regulations.
• A full UK driving licence.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work independently or as part of a small, professional team.
