Business Development Manager – Fire & Security
Location:
Midlands & South | Salary: £50-55k
We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business growth across the UK fire and security sector. This field-based role focuses on B2B sales, developing new client relationships, and expanding existing accounts in commercial and industrial markets.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and secure new B2B opportunities.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract award.
- Build long-term relationships with decision-makers including facilities managers, consultants, and contractors.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and tender responses.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
- Ensure compliance with UK fire and security standards.
- Proven B2B sales experience in the UK fire and security industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of fire and security systems.
- Track record in new business development and account growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience with FM companies, consultants, or main contractors.
- Knowledge of BS 5839, BS 5266, NSI, SSAIB, BAFE standards.
- Experience selling service and maintenance contracts.
