AboutThe Role
The Retail People Partner UK will act as the first point of contact for the retail leadership team across our UK retail Market. Providing partnership, support and guidance on all people related matters and driving the execution of our people plan. Close collaboration with our centres of excellence (Reward, People Services, Payroll, Talent and Learning & Development) and broader people team for Europe, Travel Retail and Head Office is essential as you work together on cross functional people projects to deliver seamless HR support.
You will also provide strategic guidance, advice and support on complex employment relations issues across the UK, and work with the ER partner to assess best practice, compliance and risk. As our Retail People Partner UK you will contribute to key projects that enhance our employee experience, helping shape, guide and enable our retail population. You will work closely with our Stores and Business Leaders on key people metrics such as our employee voice survey, succession planning, Pay review and absence and performance management.
- Act as a trusted advisor to Regional and Field Management teams across UK Retail, providing strategic support on people matters. Coach and develop the management teams to help them become the best and most inspiring leaders
- Provide guidance on complex people matters assessing risk and compliance issues and escalating where appropriate
- Collaborate with Centres of Excellence to ensure alignment and compliance across Reward, Payroll, People Services and Talent
- Lead and contribute to cross-functional people projects that drive engagement, performance and cultural impact. Work closely with the Head of People Partnering Retail on key projects and initiatives
- Actively identify gaps or development areas in People policies, processes and ways of working, proposing and implementing changes necessary to cover risks and improve efficiencies
- Support annual people processes including performance reviews, succession planning, and engagement surveys and work in collaboration with your retail stakeholders to proactively drive actions and improvements
- Provide support and guidance on the management of all Long-term Sickness (LTS) Occupational Health Referral cases
- Build excellent relationships with your stakeholders ensuring HR is viewed as a key partner to help support the delivery of our commercial objectives
- Acts as a trusted partner on Retail Leadership and Management recruitment, working closely with the Retail talent team
- Support the business on all compensation and benefit matters, particularly salary, year-end review and bonus allocation
- Be a cultural ambassador across the business. Have a positive impact on our people and our culture at all times
