Sous Chef Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Deliver consistently high standards of food quality and presentation
- Lead, train and motivate the kitchen team
- Work confidently during busy services
- Ensure food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards are met
- Assist with ordering, stock control, costing and waste management
- Contribute ideas to menu development and kitchen improvement
- Passion for cooking and desire to develop your skills
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Sous Chef or similar role
- Experience in a fast-paced restaurant
- Knowledge of Italian cuisine and fresh pasta (training provided)
- Ability to lead and communicate effectively with a team
- Strong work ethic, reliability and a positive, can-do attitude
- Good understanding of food safety and kitchen operations
- Excellent team meals at lunch and dinner

We’re looking for a passionate Sous Chef to join Cafe Murano restaurant by Angela Hartnett in Green Park.
You’ll work with high-quality Italian ingredients, alongside talented kitchen teams and inspiring leaders, in a supportive and creative environment where attitude and ambition come first.
You don’t need to be an expert in Italian food as this will be covered in your induction and training programme. You just need to have a great work ethic, positive can-do attitude and a team player!
