The Quality, Environment & Assurance Assistant Auditor supports the Assurance Team in delivering audits across Anglian Water Services, contributing to business resilience and compliance. You'll assist with Quality Management Systems, legislative, process and supplier audits, and support the delivery of external certification audits. You'll gather and analyse data, prepare audit reports, and present findings to support continual improvement and regulatory compliance.
This role combines assurance coordination, corrective action management, and hands on support during internal and external audits, playing a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of our assurance programmes. Key responsibilities
- Assist auditors in conducting thorough audits across Quality, Environmental, Process and Supplier areas.
- Support the population and preparation of the internal and external assurance programmes, including scheduling audits and coordinating with auditees.
- Arrange and support activity for external certification audits, including planning sessions, audit logistics, and nonconformity closure work.
- Lead the Corrective Action Verification process, ensuring actions are clearly defined, appropriate, on track, and validated in line with assurance guidance.
- Maintain and update Assurance content on SharePoint pages, ensuring information is current and approved.
- Draft and maintain documentation that supports Assurance Team programme delivery.
- Shadow auditors as part of ongoing personal development to build knowledge of assurance processes and the wider business.
- Organise monthly Assurance Team meetings and support health and safety compliance activities for the team.
- Support GDPR and data protection compliance.
A-Level or equivalent; degree desirable. - Awareness of risk and continuous improvement.
- Clear communicator with attention to detail.
